The international campaign “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence” has launched worldwide.

Held annually in more than 90 countries, the campaign aims to raise awareness about the issue of violence.

In Kazakhstan, the initiative is supported by the National Commission for Women Affairs, Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in partnership with UN Women.

As part of the campaign, roundtable discussions are being held with the participation of government bodies, NGOs, and international organizations. The agenda includes measures to protect women and children, prevent violence, enhance cybersecurity, support crisis centers, and strengthen interagency cooperation.

The campaign will run until 10 December.
