The Inder District of the Atyrau Region became the center of an important event for women from across the country. On October 15, the Forum of Rural Women “Auyil Äyeli: Unity. Development. Future.” was held, organized by the National Commission for Women Affairs, Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the Auyil Party and the Atyrau Regional Akimat. The event brought together dozens of active women leaders, entrepreneurs, and civic activists.
The forum opened with an exhibition of agricultural and handicraft achievements, which provided a platform for informal networking and business dialogue. Representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises showcased successful projects, innovative initiatives, products, and handmade crafts.
The central theme of the forum, running through all speeches, was the idea that a woman in the village is not only a mother and homemaker but also the main driving force of renewal. Today, women make up about 40% of those employed in agriculture, 48.1% are engaged in small and medium-sized businesses, and over 27% of rural entrepreneurs are women — a clear indication that women are now a key pillar of rural economic stability.
The plenary sessions were moderated by Aigerim Sarsenbayeva, a representative of the National Commission. The first session focused on economic opportunities for women, the development of women’s entrepreneurship, and mechanisms of state financial support.
During the second session, the spotlight shifted to new initiatives. Participants shared their projects, demonstrating how the integration of national values and digital technologies is transforming community life. Each success story resonated strongly with the audience and sparked active discussions.
A highlight of the event was the awarding ceremony, where outstanding rural women were recognized in various categories. The winners became symbols of opportunity and inspiration for all attendees. After the official part, participants visited local enterprises and landmarks to observe practical examples of regional development.
“The Forum ‘Auyil Äyeli: Unity. Development. Future.’ is a concrete step by the National Commission toward unlocking the potential of rural women. Women are the foundation of stability and economic strength in rural areas, and their contribution must be supported,” said Aigerim Sarsenbayeva in her closing remarks.
In her speech, she also emphasized the Commission’s role in coordinating national programs to support women, developing educational and entrepreneurial initiatives, and building a network of collaboration between state institutions and active women across the country.
The forum once again demonstrated that rural women of Kazakhstan are a dynamic force — ready to realize their potential both locally and internationally.
