On May 15, in celebration of International Family Day, Deputy Chairperson of the National Commission for Women’s Affairs and Family-Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, E. Tarasenko, and Member of the National Commission, N. Zhangazinova, visited the regional headquarters for receiving humanitarian aid in the West Kazakhstan region to assist residents affected by the flood.
The members of the National Commission familiarized themselves with the headquarters' operations and ceremoniously handed over 30 tons of humanitarian aid sent from the Zhetysu and Turkestan regions.
The list of humanitarian aid sent to the city of Uralsk includes new clothing, food, personal hygiene items, blankets, bed linens, generators, and much more.
During the ceremonial handover of humanitarian aid, Deputy Akim of the West Kazakhstan region, B. Narymbetov, on behalf of the region's residents, thanked the members of the National Commission, and the members of the regional council of veterans—aksakals—gave their blessings.
Additionally, during the visit of the National Commission members to the West Kazakhstan region, essential items worth a total of 1,500,000 tenge will be purchased and distributed to families and children in evacuation centers in Uralsk.
