The Aktobe Region Hosts the "16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence" Campaign
As part of the plan approved by the Aktobe Regional Akimat, the annual "16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence" campaign began on November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, and will run until December 10, Human Rights Day.
On November 25, within the framework of this campaign, a meeting titled "Human Rights – the Most Valuable Treasure" was held at Secondary School No. 53. It was organized by the girls' club "Sholpy" from the "Geologist" Cultural Center, members of the Council of Mothers of the Almaty District, and the Akimat of the Almaty District for parents and 8th-grade students.
The event aimed to enhance the legal literacy of family members, prevent domestic violence and legal violations, and promote family values through national traditions.
Special guests of the event included Bibigul Abildayeva, a recipient of the "Altyn Alka" medal, regional court mediator, and educator; Bibigul Akzhigitova, head of the "Sholpy" Girls' Club; Gauhar Otegenova, chief specialist of the Almaty District Akimat; and Shattyk Sagidan, a juvenile affairs police officer from the Almaty District Police Department No. 4.
During the meeting, participants discussed the prevention of juvenile delinquency, the importance of family values, and the role of national customs in raising boys and girls. They expressed confidence that the younger generation would grow up to be well-educated, respectful, and capable of integrating education with ethical and cultural traditions.
