The Role of Women in Modern Society Discussed in West Kazakhstan Region

In the village of Daryinskoye, Baiterek District, West Kazakhstan Region, Deputy Chairperson of the National Commission for Women Affairs, Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Elena Tarasenko, met with the local community.

The meeting focused on the role of women in modern society. The event was held within the framework of the “Year of Working Professions”, once again emphasizing the significance of women’s contribution to the region’s economic development.

The discussion gathered 150 representatives of women’s councils from 22 rural districts. Among the participants were Baiterek District Deputy Akim Erlan Galiev, representatives of regional and district women’s affairs commissions, maslikhat deputies, public association leaders, journalists, and active residents of rural communities.

The program was diverse and engaging. The event also included a ceremony honoring active women and council representatives who had put forward notable initiatives.

The meeting became a platform for knowledge exchange, inspiration, and mutual support. Women of different professions and generations discussed ideas for developing their districts, learned about new approaches in organizing community life, and drew on the experiences of colleagues from other villages.

The event demonstrated that women are a powerful force in the region. They not only advance social initiatives but also make a tangible contribution to economic development, the formation of labor culture, and the strengthening of local communities.
