The National Commission for Women Affairs, Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan continues its work in the regions. As part of a trip to North Kazakhstan and Abai Regions, members of the Commission discussed a range of initiatives related to the promotion of women’s leadership and the preservation of youth health.

On September 24, in the village of Yavlenka, Yesil District of North Kazakhstan Region, with the support of the National Commission, a national forum “Rural Women – The Pride of the Nation” was held. The event brought together women leaders, entrepreneurs, as well as representatives of government bodies and public organizations from across the country. Discussions focused on the role of women in rural development, the implementation of social projects, and mechanisms of state support.

The next stop of the trip was Abai Region. In the city of Semey, the Commission’s delegation met with representatives of the Mothers’ Council and the local women’s affairs commission under the city akimat. The meeting addressed issues of strengthening the family institution and improving social support. Member of the National Commission Aigerim Sarsenbayeva noted that the visit had a monitoring purpose and was aimed at studying the real situation in the regions. According to her, such dialogue makes it possible to identify pressing problems in a timely manner and find effective solutions.

Special attention was given to initiatives aimed at youth health. The delegation visited the Zhas Omir and Zhas Asyl youth health centers in Semey. These centers provide adolescents and young people with free and confidential medical, psychological, and legal consultations, while volunteer clubs promote healthy lifestyles and the prevention of harmful habits.
