Strength and Leadership of Rural Women: Pavlodar Forum Opens New Opportunities

On October 21, 2025, the regional forum of rural women “Auyil Äyeli: Unity. Development. Future.” was held in the village of Kemenger, Pavlodar Region, at the local House of Culture, bringing together more than 200 participants from across the country.

The event was organized by the National Commission for Women Affairs, Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Auyil Party, and the Pavlodar Regional Akimat. The forum became a vibrant platform for sharing experience, discussing best practices, and supporting women’s leadership in rural areas.

The forum gained special significance as it coincided with the Republic Day of Kazakhstan and the 35th anniversary of the Declaration of State Sovereignty, reminding participants of the nation’s path of independence — built on unity, hard work, and faith in the future. Aigul Malikova, Deputy Akim of Pavlodar Region, emphasized that diligence, resilience, and wisdom have always distinguished Kazakh women, especially those from rural communities.

In her address, Aigerim Sarsenbayeva, member of the National Commission and representative of the Auyil Party, underscored the strategic role of women in ensuring national resilience and development. She noted that rural women are the main driving force, leaders within their communities, and guarantors of social stability.

“The rural woman creates jobs, develops family businesses, maintains social balance in every village, and inspires others to entrepreneurship,” — highlighted Sarsenbayeva. She also noted that the National Commission actively implements programs to develop women’s leadership and entrepreneurial skills, strengthen family institutions, and protect the rights of women and children.

The forum’s program also featured an exhibition of agricultural and industrial products, where women entrepreneurs from Almaty, Abai, Karaganda, and East Kazakhstan regions presented natural goods, light industry products, and modern technologies. Visitors were particularly impressed by innovative roofing material production technologies and pipe insulation systems for aboveground and underground heat networks. The exhibition demonstrated that female entrepreneurship in rural areas is thriving, creating jobs, driving innovation, and building export potential.

As Sarsenbayeva noted, the Pavlodar forum is part of a national series of regional meetings dedicated to empowering rural women. Earlier, similar events were held in Atyrau, and upcoming forums are planned in Kyzylorda and Almaty regions, culminating in a final event on December 6 in Akkol, Akmola Region.

“The ‘Auyil Äyeli’ project connects regions and shows that the development of villages begins with the support of women — their main pillar. Güldense auyl – güldenedi elimiz! (When the village prospers, the nation prospers),” said Aigerim Sarsenbayeva.

The forum demonstrated that rural women not only sustain the economy and preserve traditions, but also shape the future of their communities and regions, opening new opportunities for business and civic initiatives, and inspiring others toward active participation and progress.
