Aziza Shuzeyeva, a member of the National Commission on Women and Family, visited the Karaganda region on a working trip

On June 7, 2024, Aziza Timurkyzy Shuzeyeva, a member of the National Commission on Women and Family, Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, visited the Karaganda region on a working trip.

During her visit, Aziza Shuzeyeva participated in a meeting of the Commission for Women and Family-Demographic Policy under the Akim of the Karaganda region.

The agenda of the regional commission meeting included:

  1. The situation with divorces in the Karaganda region: review, analysis of statistical data, causes, and prevention.
  2. Issues of women's fertile health: coverage of measures to improve health, including in rural areas. Prevention and problematic issues. Review of NGO activities in this area.

The meeting participants discussed the problems of divorce and women's reproductive health in the Karaganda region. They decided to hold events as part of the women's health month, including meetings with labor collectives.

Tatyana Aleksandrovna Rezvushkina, a lecturer at the Karaganda University named after Academician E.A. Buketov and a sociologist, presented an analytical review of the divorce situation in the republic and the region, including causes, consequences, and ways to solve the problem of divorce.

Dinara Maratovna Mutubayeva, the Chairperson of the region's specialized inter-district court for juvenile affairs, spoke about the cases considered in court.

Leyla Temirbayevna Ospanova, the Head of the Department of Motherhood and Childhood of the Health Department, spoke about the ongoing activities to protect women's health.

The discussion was attended by Indira Zhanuzakovna Tokmurzina, the Head of the branch of the republican public association "Senimen Bolashak", Nadezhda Aleksandrovna Zhalbayeva, a member of the commission for minors and coordinator of the project "ANA UYI". They talked about the measures they are taking to prevent the issues under consideration. The members of the commission emphasized the need to carry out preventive work among men, including in educational institutions and labor collectives, in cooperation with trade unions.

Sabira Muratovna Kulchimbayeva introduced the members of the commission to her project "Prenatal Education in the Era of Digital Technologies".

After the meeting, Aziza Shuzeyeva met with representatives of NGOs at the Family Support Center in Karaganda. The meeting was attended by representatives of the NGOs: "Mir dobra", "Luchik nadezhdy", "Moy dom", "Asyl ana", "Bekbayeva A.Sh.", "Zhana kun".

Aziza Shuzeyeva visited the Center for Family Planning and Reproductive Health, where she got acquainted with the Center's activities.
