A charitable campaign to support the flood-affected families in the city of Kulsary, Zhylyoi District, Atyrau Region, was organized by the National Commission on Women's Affairs and Family-Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From May 15 to 19, as part of this campaign, events providing humanitarian aid were held in various regions including Atyrau, Aktobe, Akmola, West Kazakhstan, North Kazakhstan, Karaganda, Kostanay, and Pavlodar regions.
In honor of International Family Day, members of the Commission on Women's Affairs and Family-Demographic Policy under the Akim (Governor) of Almaty Region, together with the Almaty City Commission and the Youth Policy Department of Almaty Region, gathered over 20 tons of humanitarian aid. The shipment, which included essential items, bedding, food products, medical supplies, and new clothing, was dispatched from Almaty on May 10 and arrived in Atyrau Region.
By the time the aid arrived, extensive efforts to mitigate the effects of the flood that began in April were already underway in Kulsary. The aid included mattresses, bedding sets, pillows, blankets, towels, hygiene products, building materials, and water. This humanitarian assistance has been crucial in supporting the local population during this challenging period.
In addition to the humanitarian aid, emergency service personnel, military forces, police, and volunteers continue to work in the Atyrau Region, maintaining order and providing support to the population.
