Forum of Maslikhat Deputies Held in Astana with the Participation of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev

Today, a Forum of Maslikhat Deputies, organized by the “AMANAT” party, took place in Astana. The event was attended by the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the Chairpersons of the Senate and the Mazhilis of Parliament, the Prime Minister, the State Counselor, senior officials from the Presidential Administration, members of the Government, deputies of Parliament, and maslikhats. In total, around 2,500 people participated in the forum.

In his address, the President touched upon key issues concerning the role of women, the protection of citizens’ rights, the development of democracy, and ensuring the well-being of children in Kazakhstan.

The Role of Women in Politics

The President highlighted the increasing number of women in representative bodies and emphasized the significance of their role in defending women’s rights:

“The number of women in representative bodies has grown. I must note that the proposals put forward by women, particularly those concerning the protection of their rights, receive full support from the state. Undoubtedly, these reforms are yielding tangible results,” stated the President.

The Future of the Country Lies with the Youth

The President also stressed the importance of focusing on the younger generation and creating opportunities for their full development:

“The future of the country lies with the youth. Everything we do is for their benefit. Therefore, we must pay special attention to the health, education, and upbringing of children. The state is taking systematic measures in this regard: all necessary resources are allocated, and the infrastructure is in place,” the President said.

Child Protection as a Priority of State Policy

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev paid special attention to the protection of children’s rights and the creation of conditions for their harmonious development:

“Ensuring children’s safety, protecting their rights, and creating favorable conditions for their harmonious development are the highest priorities of state policy. It is essential that all authorized bodies—whether sectoral ministries, akimats, or law enforcement agencies—perform their duties clearly and coordinate their efforts. We must recognize that the foundation of a happy childhood has always been and will remain the family institution,” emphasized the President.

The President also raised concerns about the issue of digital dependency among children and called on parents to be more involved in their children’s upbringing:

“An alarming trend is the growing digital dependency of our children, their excessive immersion in the virtual world. Any tragedy involving our children deeply affects me. I immediately bring such cases to the attention of state bodies, issue relevant instructions, and keep the process under constant control,” said the Head of State.

The President urged parents to take greater responsibility for raising their children and monitoring their activities in the digital space.
