“Talpyn” Opportunity Platform Held in West Kazakhstan Region

On May 30, the “Talpyn” Opportunity Platform, a large-scale thematic event, was held in the West Kazakhstan Region. The initiative was grounded in the strategic priorities set by the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on supporting employment and workforce participation.

As part of the platform, residents were offered access to:
●A job fair
● An exhibition of state-supported entrepreneurs
Open meetings between business leaders and youth
Workshops on navigating government support programs
● And a range of informational and training activities

“Raising public well-being, ensuring employment, and providing social protection are long-standing priorities of our society. As you know, the President has declared 2025 the Year of Vocational Professions. In this context, our region is hosting a number of awareness-raising initiatives aimed at elevating the prestige of skilled trades,”

– said N.T. Turegaliev, Akim of the West Kazakhstan Region, in his opening remarks.

He also emphasized that the “Talpyn” platform addressed the status of vocational professions through thematic dialogues and outreach activities, such as “opportunities in technical education” and “encouraging youth to pursue skilled trades.”

Elena Tarasenko, Deputy Chair of the National Commission for Women Affairs, Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, took part in the event. She paid particular attention to the “One Village – One Product” initiative underway in the region.

During her visit, she:
● Engaged in direct dialogue with local women entrepreneurs
● Reviewed locally produced goods
● Discussed pressing challenges and opportunities to improve the project’s efficiency and scalability

“This platform, aimed at informing citizens about employment opportunities and state support mechanisms, has clearly demonstrated the potential we hold for enhancing people’s well-being and job security. Just as importantly, it showcased a personalized, human-centered approach,”
– noted Elena Tarasenko.
