On October 18, 2024, a training seminar titled “Promoting the policy of quality physical education in Kazakhstan: comprehensive improvement of physical education” was held at the Cultural Center of MKTU in Turkestan. The event was organized with the support of the National Commission for Women Affairs, Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan for UNESCO and ISESCO Affairs, and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The main goal of the seminar was to strengthen the nation’s health, increase physical activity among youth, and enhance the qualifications of physical education teachers. The event focused on the promotion of quality physical education principles, the introduction of inclusive methods, and support for gender equality.
The seminar was moderated by Elena Tarasenko, Deputy Chair of the National Commission for Women Affairs, Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Her active involvement contributed to the in-depth discussion of key issues related to the implementation of quality physical education in Kazakhstan, while emphasizing the importance of gender equality and inclusion in educational programs.
During the seminar, the results of the “Analysis in the field of quality physical education in Kazakhstan” report were presented, along with the developed “Quality Physical Education Policy.” Special attention was given to inclusive teaching methods and ensuring equal access for all citizens. The participants, including physical education teachers and representatives of various governmental bodies, exchanged experiences and discussed ways to improve teaching standards in this field.
