On June 27, 2024, under the auspices of the National Commission for Women and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in collaboration with JSC "Samruk-Kazyna," the "Charity Children's Train 'Tugan Elge Sayakhat'" project was launched. This cultural and educational project, now in its second year, aims to broaden children's horizons and enhance their educational level through acquaintance with the history and culture of our country.
This year, the project will encompass 400 children aged 10 to 15. Participants will be divided into two seasons, each lasting 12 days. During the journey, children will visit unique landmarks and historical sites in Astana, Burabay, Almaty, Taraz, Turkestan, and Baikonur.
Special attention is given to children from socially vulnerable groups and families of employees of the JSC "Samruk-Kazyna" group of companies. The project will involve:
- 200 children from the families of workers in production professions of the JSC "Samruk-Kazyna" group of companies, living in remote settlements, and raised in large, low-income, or single-parent families;
- 200 children from large, single-parent, and low-income families selected according to quotas allocated to the akimats of regions affected by floods (Atyrau Region – 76, North Kazakhstan Region – 30, West Kazakhstan Region – 28, Aktobe Region – 24, Kostanay Region – 19, Akmola Region – 10, Karaganda Region – 10, Ulytau – 3).
The quotas were distributed among the regions affected by floods proportionally to the total number of affected people according to the data provided by the Ministry of Emergency Situations and based on the lists of children submitted by the akimats.
The excursion train's route is designed in such a way that children from all corners of Kazakhstan will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the largest tourist locations in the country and visit historically significant places.
