On the third Sunday of June, Kazakhstan celebrates Medical Workers’ Day. This professional holiday unites all those who safeguard the health of our citizens — doctors, nurses, midwives, paramedics, pharmacists, sanitation workers, and administrative staff within the healthcare system.
“Medical workers are the guardians of the nation's health, representatives of one of the most respected and noble professions. We deeply value your dedicated work and are proud of your resilience. Every day, medical professionals perform real feats — in operating rooms, hospital wards, and emergency services. I express my profound gratitude to all healthcare workers,” said the Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, at the award ceremony for medical professionals.
Medical Workers’ Day is a moment of public recognition for those whose work demands the highest professionalism, inner strength, compassion, and constant readiness to help others.
This day reminds each of us that behind every recovery story stands a person in a white coat — someone who has devoted their life to serving others. Their selfless work and care for the well-being of our citizens deserve the deepest respect.
According to official statistics, over half a million people work in the healthcare and social services system of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Of these, 72.4% are women.
The National Commission expresses its sincere appreciation and wishes all medical workers good health, well-being, and continued success in their noble mission.
Happy Medical Workers’ Day!
Sincerely,
National Commission for Women Affairs, Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan
