Training seminar held in Aktobe region as part of the “Quality Physical Education in Kazakhstan” project
In the Aktobe region, the “Quality Physical Education in Kazakhstan” project was launched in accordance with the memorandum between the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and UNESCO.
As part of the project, a training seminar titled “Promoting the Policy of Quality Physical Education in Kazakhstan: Comprehensive Improvement of Physical Education Quality” was held with the support of Elena Tarasenko, Deputy Chairperson of the National Commission for Women Affairs, Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The seminar featured contributions from Maksat Baibekov, Head of the Social and Human Sciences Sector and a member of the UNESCO Regional Office in Almaty, Aliya Ilyasova, PhD in Economics and an expert from the UNESCO Regional Office in Almaty, and Evgeniy Goncharov, Honored Master of Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan and leader of the “Table Tennis from Kindergarten” project.
Also participating in the seminar were Arman Tashmetov, Acting Director of the National Scientific and Practical Center for Physical Education under the Ministry of Education, and Svetlana Otaraly, PhD and Acting Professor of L.N. Gumilyov University, who provided an online presentation on the current state, challenges, and ways to improve physical education.
During the first part of the seminar, key topics discussed included “Quality Physical Education: Inclusive Teaching and UNESCO’s Gender Equality Principles in Physical Education,” “The State, Issues, and Ways to Improve Physical Education in Kazakhstan,” and “Development of Children’s and Youth Sports in the Aktobe Region.” The importance of enhancing the quality of physical education was emphasized.
In the second part, seminar organizers met with the younger generation, shared practical advice, and exchanged experiences.
